    Dear Ilango,
    This was Mohd.Rafi's only song from Aradhana for which he got a Film-fare award. At that time Rajesh Khanna was a new comer & Sharmila was a established Big star. The producer Director Shakti Samanta was very upset before the release of this film because at the time of preview almost every body laughed when Sharmial took her entry in the film as Rajesh Khanna's mother. Even at the time of it's premier it was almost the repetition of the same reaction by Audience so Shaktida almost leave the show in between but after few minutes later when audience realized the story, everybody appreciate the same & accept it that, it was the need of that story/film. Shaktida was called back in the Theater again & After "that" 3 Hrs.Aradhana was a BIG hit & Rajesh Khanna became the first Super Star of Hindi Cinema & Rajesh -Sharmila became a Hit Pair.

    During the shooting Sharmila was pregnant for the first time at the time of Saif's Birth so the all time Hit song from the same film "Mere Sapanoki Rani Kab Ayegi" was shoot separately & both actors never saw or met each other during the shooting of this song. Only Sharmila's close ups were taken before & Rajesh Khanna & Sujeet Kumar shoot the song al one. This song is the fine example of best editing by an Editor of the film.

    "Roop Tera Mastana" song is also a "record" song. Due to Sharmila's date problem then, it was filmed in a single take with the help of just 1 or 2 rehearsals by both actors. The song is one take 6 minute song. Both Rajesh Khanna & Sharmila were Theater artists so only it was possible.

    Just few days ago both Rajesh & Sharmila gave a joint interview on IBN channel so only these golden memories were revealed. Thanks a lot for sharing this beautiful song.

    Rectification
    It is the only song sung by Mohd.Rafi but has not got film-fare award for it.
